In the chronicles of craftsmanship and environmental stewardship, Diamond Teak emerged as a beacon of innovation and sustainability in 1992. Founded by Kevin Yardley, who continues to lead the helm today, Diamond Teak has been on a transformative journey, intertwining the art of teak furniture making with a commitment to reforestation and environmental conservation.
In the early days, Diamond Teak's vision extended beyond furniture; it embraced a commitment to restoring and nurturing the environment. With foresight and determination, we acquired farms with a mission to transform them into reforestation projects, recognizing trees' vital role in maintaining ecological balance. This endeavor laid the foundation for our holistic approach to crafting teak furniture, where each creation is not just a masterpiece but a testament to our dedication to protecting the environment.
About Our Business
We began reforesting trees in 1993. These projects produce clean air and water (more than a thousand people get drinking water from our natural springs) as well as the natural habitats for endangered species such as jaguars, pumas, scarlet macaws, and squirrel monkeys, species that were not here when we started planting trees.
More than 20% of the land is protected in rainforest that will never be cut.
“We also produce Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certified woods so that you know these are sustainable. We have chain-of-custody (CoC) certification (FSC-C005190) that keeps track of our wood”
